Well, we did it. We got back yesterday to a hero's welcome with two elephants and a twentystrong band of drummers. Waiters with cool towels and fresh coconuts brought wecome relief from the intense heat.
We travelled together for the last two kilometres creating a spectacle of 60 white ambassadors in a row for the local population.
We had a fantatic party in the evening when everyone dressed up in Indian clothes.
Today some of us have hired a boat for the day and are sailing around the kerala backwaters. It is an idyllic end to a fantastic trip.
Mel has written an essay that we will upload later today if we are sober!
We fly back into snowy Britain early tomorrow.
