The train to Kolkata was two hours late, so we had to cool our heels at the station longer than originally thought. I'm surprised anyone gets on the right train here. Bishal said it is hard enough for him to find out when the train is due and what platform it will be on, let alone a foreigner. After months of research, the itinerary is set in stone and I am on the verge of departure for my second trip to India, this time with my sister Ginny. This isn't an organised tour, I have created our itinerary myself, visiting twelve fascinating destinations including Hampi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Orchha, and Khajuraho. This child, and her younger sibling, who is asleep under the net umbrella, were sitting in the street. They looked well cared for but no adult to be seen.

I've appreciated your blog so much! One of the rare detailed reviews I can find of the India unplugged tour, so thank you! Very honestly written, both the pros and cons of each area. Most blogs/reviews I can find are from 2007, 2008, and there are still few of them. Enjoy your travels, and thanks for keeping track of the tour!
