our vacation to the queen of hills

we started our journey to ooty on 25th may . we started our train journey around 10.00a.m and we reached the hills in night, so we missed a lot of location on the way. The next day our first location was to the PYKARA LAKE which is a famous lake. The climate was very good near the lake as the sun was just rising giving a golden shade to the lake. There we went on a boat ride along side of the lake and we saw few wild animals there. The lake was maintained well .Our next destination was to the seven hills which is famous for it lush green surrounding which has so many little forest around it and also for famous for horse riding. we had a very relaxing time there, our first day came to an end by visiting some local stores and buying the famous ooty homemade chocolates, which everyone must try while visiting. our second day started out great with some rain and a very chill climate , which is anyways common there. This was the most exciting and thrilling day of the trip as we were going to the forest safari, the travel to this particular location took us about 2 hours which is located down the hills . After crossing many hair pin bends and few water falls, carrot farms, tea estates, we finally reached . the first thing we saw was peacock as we went further inside the forest we saw few elephants near a river playing and drinking water. if we are lucky we may see some tigers ,wild bison and our luck on the day was very high that we saw only the foot prints of the tiger. and after spending some more time we saw some reptiles, wild hen, few variety of birds .

Next we went to mudumalai elephant camp which is held every year during summer . the most enjoyable thing about the camp is the baby elephants and there naughty acts. there is also a museum present there that has displayed many wild animals lived in the past and also the history about them .At last the day ended very well with some good memories. The day we went to the botanical garden ,which has 55 acres covered with different types of flowers and plants. The main attraction in this garden is a tree trunk which is 20 million years old and has turned to a rock like structure.it also has a variety of cactus plants. Next we went Karnataka Siri horticulture garden, the garden is around 38 acers ,it has so many variety of rose plants in different colors ,maze garden, Italian garden, sunken garden, flower beds and so many other garden. the trip came to and end with some relaxing time and a lot of good memories. this was one of the most pleasant and wonderful journey so far. the one thing everyone should be aware of while travelling here is knowing the locations of the places we like to visit as the people can confuse us of a wrong location as the location we need to visit . overall everyone will have great time visiting ooty. Make sure to plan well the places you want to visit.
