emirates baby!

So technically it's only my first day in india but i felt my trip up deserved an entry in itself.

anyway, creature of habit am i; reserved an isle seat all the way to chennai from cape town and, with trepidation and many warnings, booked my luggage all the way through.

the trip from cape town was uneventful, a slighly bumpy landing,more like a nose dive onto the runway than a graceful glide.. found my way to the emirates checkin wher i was promptly told i had a seat change oooh the sparks wer about to fly,seat change.. I don't think so!

anyway turns out it wasn't a seat change, it was an upgrade, read it, BUSINESS CLASS BABY!!!

hell yes, 9 hour flight being served champagne and OJ, hot towels, have a menu to choose food from, movies, an amost fully reclining seat, being served with proper cutlery and table cloth! oh my word...

anyway, arrived in dubai airport, which is really a shopping centre with a few planes attached, had just enough time to whip around the shops, and check out the airport (which is humming at 3am by the way..) and cach my connection to chennai. got to the gate, and guess what, bumped up again!!! this time slept all the way though.

i've always wanted to see what it's like flying business class. i've decided, i could just about get used to it 😉
