Hello Everybody,
First off, if we came home today it would all be worth it. We have done so much and have seen more people than we could have hoped for.
Yesterday we went to a leper colony and were able to clean, treat, and bandage their wounds and feed them as well. They were very appreciative for our help and we even started a game of volleyball with some of the younger people of the village.
Parents, all your kids are safe and are being a great example and encouragement. It has been very hard work, physically and emotionally and even mentally (language barrier!)
Keep us in your prayers and thanks for all the messages and comments. Now I will let others share their experiences.
Ben
Hi to everyone that's readin' this,
Well, Ben pretty much covered the minor details of the first day, so now on to the second day. We went to a village of tsunami survivors. It was mostly labor for everyone, and some of the women even got to help out with the school children for a while. Those of us who were outside, however, were helping plant coconut trees... which did sound a bit odd to me at the time. But after thinking about it for a while it seems that it will probably be a bigger help to them then I think. The school children, on the other hand, I heard had a lot of different personalities. Some of them were climbing on Darin and Jen begging for more of the outstanding mints Jen handed out, while others were very cute and fun.
Lastly, we are, as Ben said, doing great and CANNOT believe that this is only two days down... we've got a lot more time. Our Indian brothers and sisters have treated us incredibly luxurious. We are staying in an air conditioned hotel with two people to a room. We have TV... with CABLE! Also, our food is all taken care of and we have unlimited water. We also get to travel in a nice big van. So we're livin' nice and have been doing great and have been impacted greatly by the work and villagers at both places. Someone else can talk now... I talk too much.

Everyone has taken really great care of us. We received lays from the lepers colony yesterday and coconuts to drink from today. We also had the opportunity to go shopping today. We each bought a few authentic indian garments. This experience has been great for us, and we are all learning a lot about the indian cultures as well as ourselves. The indian brothers and sisters have taken us under their wings in everyway from translating to helping buy clothes today. It is crazy to think that tomorrow we will be heading off to another city. We look forward to each new day (and every night's sleep). Tomorrow we will head off to an AIDS home.

Hey all, Tim here... Kids are doing extremely well. Learning a lot and growing... although I will let you know there are some food struggles.... Hard core Indian food is probably not yet on their list of favorites... yet.... but hunger is the bithing experience of flexibility eh?
Pray that all is well with you... we are still expecting a couple of baggages to arrive... I guess Delta isn't always ready when you are.... things are going great though.... Although I was not excited about leaving my credit card in a cafe at the Paris Hotel and then having to cancel it on the plane two hours later... however that did afford me 30 minutes in first class to use the phone... that was a nice ride.
Love
