After Agra Brett and I headed to Jaipur, which is in the North Western state of Rajisthan. This city is hustling with energy and a strong economy. For the most part the begging and such is quite minimal to Agra, but still fairly active. Our Hotel was magnificent as we felt like kings, a little more plush then we needed. Pictures coming soon. We spent the whole day sight seeing yesterday throughout the city and also a visit to the Fort Amber (Ameer) in the outskirts. We really enjoyed the fort as we got lost a number of times in the maze of rooms and courtyards it holds. We hope to put some pictures up soon. We also went to the City palace where the largest silver flasks/pots in the world are held. The king of the palace had them made in order to have fresh water for himself and guests for atleast 6 months. They weigh 358kg or so on their own and hold around 9000 liters of water. Amazing. Included in this palace was a plethora of weaponry on display, unfortunatley we were unable to take photographs though. The Jantar Mantar (Observatory) located near the City Palace was spectacular,

with mammoth shaped sculptures maintaining a specific purpose to do with the universe, and a huge sundial. We are headed to Johdpur now, about a 5 hour train journey to the west.

I took a few snaps of this little girl and Brett as she kept trying to get in front of Brett's camera so he would take a shot of her, then she could ask for money. This is at Fort Amber outside the city limits.
