Howdy folks and greetings from Jaipur!
We have now spent 4 nights in Incredible India, visited Dehli, Agra (Taj Mahal etc) Barathphur and are now in Jaipur! After seeing how the less fortunate half of the world live and the conditions that they live in, we are still in shock but very happy to say that we have been here and tried on the Saris! It is an absolutely fascinating country with so many shockers to uncover but we are extatic to say that we are getting out of here and heading to Goa. Yeyeyey! Ok, we know that Goa is still India and that it is 4 days earlier than expected but we are sick of being the centre of attention...seriously, we are freaks of nature over here and are getting our photographs taken by every other person with a camera. (It is the off season, white tourists are few and far between!)
So far the highlight of our trip is undoubtedly the Taj Mahal. Despite what everybody says about having to see it at either Sunrise or Sunset, it is amazing at any time of day. But a word to the wise is that if anybody is thinking of going to see it we would recommend early morning before the throngs of other tourists arrive...it gets quite hot in there. Oh, and also, dont bring any teddy bears with you, they wont be allowed in!
Not far behind the Taj is Agra Fort, Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Hindu Temple, Humayuns Tomb, Quitub Minar, Fatehpur Sikri (The Abandoned City) and the Barathphur Bird Sanctuary. Lots of photos of each of them will be posted shortly, we just have to find a place that we will be able to spend enough time in to upload them all!
Next stop Goa, we promise to update you with the photos once we settle!
