Delhi to Pachewar (Day 1 to 3)

Landed at Delhi airport early in the morning and encountered fog that Heathrow would be envious of .... we thought the infamous Delhi traffic would be the end of us in zero visability!

We joined an Imaginative Traveller group with 12 others on a trip called "Among the Maharajas" staying in heritage type hotels such as forts and palaces.

The second night's stay was at a Maharaja's fort in Pachewar, a village south of Jaipur where we slept in a 'turret room'. The Maharaja invited us to his son's (Prince Shakti Singh) engagement ceremony ... as one does and, oh yes, we had to dress accordingly - Alison in a sari and Paul in a turban.
