In Kovalam, Kerala, for 4 days of R&R on the beach overlooking the Arabian Sea. Glorious beaches with miles of golden sand with the sun overhead giving a comfortable temperature in the upper 20s. An ideal setting for lying on the beach reading our books and listening to our IPods. The peace and tranquility is such a contrast to Mumbai with its incessant noise and chaos

what it's like in the UK!!
Lovely to read about your hot relaxing holiday with the beautiful beaches! Here it's not cold but a bit cloudy and showery. Today Rob and I had a drive to Princetown and beyond, for a walk to Seward's Cross and Eylesbarrow, and then down to the stone row near Deancombe - magical. We got back to the car after 3 hours, with a shower for the final 15 minutes, so were very lucky. Marisa is settling in extremely well in her new office in St John's, as I anticipated. I am very busy trying to get essential things done for the renting out of my house - what a long list! - so it's a good job I have stopped work. Clare and little Yasmin arrive on 8 Feb for a week's stay, which I am longing for. We are having a few visits to the Northcott Theatre this month and in Feb, which is always fun. Have a lovely time, both of you! Love, Penny xx
