Mysore

From Madikeri we went to the Tibetan settlements (refuge camp) which are about an hour out of Madikeri. It was such a different feel, Monks and beautiful temples everywhere. Most there did not know English, so the experience was very quiet (not much interaction with the locals) also most felt like mediation. Now we are in Mysore and the markets are great and we got to see a movie being shot on the street. It featured a very famous Karnataka actor.. well that’s what the crowd told us. Got to see them set up a dance number, in the blazing heat of the day. The actress even wore a jacket during warm up, it seemed hot to me, but hey I’m use to hot being 25 C.
