We are now staying in a bamboo beach hut!!!!! on the beach, only about 10 metres away from the sea. Most nights we fall asleep to the sounds of the waves crashing on to the sand. Arambol is the most laid back place we've been to so far. Not too much going on, a fairly quiet village which seems to have been slightly taken over by backpackers. We feel a little fresh faced, most have been here for months have acquired long facial hair and dreadlocks. But it's so friendly and we've had the most amazing time.
The beach is picture perfect and the sun has shone almost non-stop. In the morning when we're up early enough, we can find crabs popping up all over the place from holes in the sand. Apart from the usual sarong sellers there's noone around and you feel like the beach is your own.
We've spent most nights admiring the sunset sipping beer and cocktails, dragged ourselves out of bed for a sunrise and even had a trip to the mud baths that the locals keep raving about - we managed to trek through the jungle on own and find it despite their
attempts to charge for it. Other than that, we've eaten plenty of sea food, swam in the sea lots and lay in the sun as much as we can bear.
It's going to be really hard to leave.

How beautiful that place looks. It was really lovely to speak to you and the line was so clear. I have printed off the photos to show to Gran and to put some up on my wall to remind me in my office that there is a beautiful world outside - can't wait to go travelling again! The mud bath sounds great and Chris looks very green! Sorry to hear about the phone Chris - it is always so horrible to get something taken from you like that. Brilliant photos showing the hut and cannot believe it was that cheap to stay there - why is everybody going to all these resorts in Spain? Really brilliant to talk to you darling. I do miss you a lot and it is just great to see all the places you are visiting through your photos. Chris you look very cool in your Indian open neck shirt - rather film starish! Keep hold of him Caro - tons of love to you both - Mum
