Dinner in Bangkok.
My sandals are really starting to smell. I bought some industrial freshner on the way home, hope it does the trick else Barrack Obama might be calling on them to drop into Iraq as a weapon of mass distruction.

Splashed out today and had our first alcohol since arriving in Hong Kong. I have been dry for the last 2 days after drinking for 26 days on the bounce, so it was well needed. Public transport is cheap here, however everything else is a wee bit pricey. Found a "Happy Hour" in Soho and had a nice New Zealand white as the only beer they had was Stella (a long way to come for a naff pint).

Finally got round to adding a few photos, hope you like them.

Hostel room is small, about the size of a postage stamp, however we are pretty much out all day so no problem. Done all the touristy things. Been up the peak, had Dim Sums (Rach has finally had shrimp and enjoyed it). Out to Stanley, then Aberdeen Floating Restaurant (thanks Barwell, good shout, more like a theme park than a restaurant but well worth the trip). Headed to Lantau today for the Giant Buddha.

Hope all is well back home. Thanks for all of the messages it is great to hear how you are doing. Off to Cairns tomorrow which I think is up in the 30's (been around 26 in HK which has been great), "did I read in the paper that it is a wee bit cold in blitty?"

Be well
Rich and Rach

OUr food tour continued in Hong Kong Ciy Hall where we braved the language barrier and had Dim Sums. Rach had prawns for the first time and enjoyed them. I did not have the heart to tell her about the Salmon roe.
