Day 6, Planned to take cable car to giant buddah on Lantau island but it wasn't running due to typhoon. Went to walled village in New Territories then took the cable winched tram to the peak (highest point) on the island, great views and a nice Bubba Gump restaurant there.
Day 7; boxed up goodies I bought and posted back to the UK. Walked to the new Hong Kong exhibition centre, where they had a mega trade fair on. Managed to wangle a free entry pass and spent rest of the day there. Great harbour view setting and every consumer good you could ever imagine on show, you couldn't buy anything though unless you ordered 1,000s but I did get a free beer.

Been to the walled village with Chris and Tommy and up to the Peak by tram. But what's a bubba gump restaurant? Is it safe to go around with a typhoon in the offing? We all wondered how you would get your shoppig back and nobody thought of the post!!! Just watched a program about venomous snakes, spiders etc. Don't get bitten. It's a nasty sticky end, but if you do get bitten go to a hospital even if it looks like nothing more than two tiny puncture wounds. How long will you be in HK? We are so peagreen.
