Spent $100 and came away with $350, first race he bet on was horse number 4!! Steve asked him why it is unlucky and means death? The horse was still running when the race finished.

Went for a walk to the shopping mall, 10am nothing open so found a bank to withdraw some money and walked back to the Hotel. Met with Robyn and Steve and they found yesterday just as good as us, buying a heap of stuff as well. Will meet with them at 6.30pm tonight and catch a Taxi to the Happy Valley Races, they had a bag of washing to do and had found a laundry down the street who charge by the weight, 1lb for 10 HK $ and can pick up at 4pm today. $1.71 Au, we will do this ourselves before we leave.

Took the Courtesy Bus to the Ladies Market, huge and no where near as crowded when we went on the weekend, spent heaps but picked up some great bargains and really getting used to this just as well we are going home Friday. Arrived back from the Market and it is a ripper of a storm, so 4.30pm will rest for 2 hours and then meet up with Robyn and Steve from Kingaroy for the Happy Valley Races.

Caught a taxi to the Happy Valley, the third one we asked agreed to take

us, Robyn exhausted so it was Mick, Steve and me. Payed $10 using the Optopus card then $20 for a front row seat on the second floor. Westerners out did the Asians was Happy Wednesday, live band and truly amazing. We went down for a .5L of tiger beer and a McDonalds meal taking them up to our seats, could smoke, drink and soak up the atmosphere. Finished and followed the crowd for ages catching a train to Olympic Station and 15 minutes later were back at our Hotel, 1230, late but worth it.

Slept in and walked to the Mall, after picking up a coffee at McDonalds and some food at the Bakery. Dropped off a big bag of washing10lb and payed $10.17 Au, will pick up after we get back from the cruise on the Harbour.

Great day spent an hour cruising the Harbour, taxi cost $10 Au, bought some lunch and found a place around the Harbour where I could have a manicure. Arrived back at the Hotel at 5.45pm, after picking up our washing and cracked a beer. It was peak hour after my nails were done and the Taxi's were not interested in taking

This place was incredible, clean, well organised Asians inside at tables like ours, watching screens in front of them. Westerners and heaps outside, not betting as much as the Asians. Quadrella was up to $64,000,000 at one stage an eye opener the place holds 87,000,
us anywhere, so caught a train to one station then another to Olympic, we did a lot more walking then we had bargained for. I think both of us have lost weight with the amount of walking we have done this holiday, not a bad thing so hope to keep it up when we get home. Have not caught up from last night and both of us are stuffed so will go back to the Chinese Restaurant tonight for tea and get an early night.

I think this is the Culture Centre it was explained in Cantonese and Mandarine. This is where the lease of Hong Kong was signed over to the Chinese in 1997, the Hong Kong people chose China rather than the British and we cannot blame them.
