Pretty much every meal we've eaten has been eaten at a lazy susan and we just rotate the food around.

This little blue guy is the new face of china (on left). The engineers have given him the appellation "Blumby" on account of his blueness and similarity to Gumby.

Many Chinese people believe in evil spirits. They also believe these spirits can only walk in a straight line. This is called the "Nine-zigzag bridge" and it was made to help thwart any evil spirits following you.

This one wasn't really very interesting, but there were two pictures on the ground similar to this one but they were coins. The Chinese believe that stepping on them produce good fortune.

Energy required to digest a food is shown in kJ, kilojoules, instead of calories. I freaked out when i saw oreos had 2000, but then realized that i should divide it by 4.18 to get the equivalent amount of calories.

Tap water is unhealthy for the most part in China, and so the bottled water industry is huge. One can buy about 7 bottles of water for 1 dollar.

Many stop lights have a timer instead of a yellow light. Timers work when going from both red to green and green to red. Unfortunately, they don't really help because every intersection is so chaotic.
