Great Wall

What can you say about the great wall. You go to China, you have to see the Great Wall. So we did.

We have attached some photographs of the visit but they are a poor substitute for seeing the real thing. In addition, they do not give a feel for how exposed a walk on the wall feels. The steps are worn, uneven or missing. The gradients can feel almost vertical at times. Strong winds blowing across the walk can make you feel as if you could be blown away, expecially unsettling where the walls are missing or very low.

Despite this, its a trip well worth taking but do not just take my word for it. Look at the photographs and decide for yourself.
