Stone me (sorry, poor joke)

Shilin or the Stone Forest, just outside Kunming.

Ashima apparently (the one in the middle)

This is a famous stone which looks like Ashima who was a beautiful girl of the Yi people who was born here, yaddy ya, forbidden love etc, she turned to stone.

Maybe they are trolls

They have a lot of techno bars amazingly, not quite as 'holy' as you might think.

We found a crazy museum dedicated to the Long March, you felt as though you were really there...

The Chinese do love to be in a photo and even better if you can dress up in an ethnic costume, say 'noodle'

Ancient-Modern

This style persists in many places in China these days, looks old but is actually new. They build a lot of these 'Ancient-Modern' towns I think.

My, that is huge

The biggest prayer wheel I've ever seen, it was a communal effort to get this one moving.
