We arrived in Kunming, the capital city of the yunnan province of china, after forty hours of train riding from shanghai. As soon as we arrived we bought over night sleeper bus tickets that would take us to arrive in lijiang the next day early in the morning. ben, my travel buddy, had to figure out some visa stuff in kunming, so i spent the day at the stone forest - a short day trip from kunming. it took about an hour and a half to get there. the entrance fee seemed a bit pricy, but it was cool. the forest was huge and seemed like the kind of place you might find the bat cave. It was bizarre, but the weather was great and it was fun to wander around. i returned to kunming early afternoon and ben and i caught the night bus to lijiang...

the bed was about a foot too short and pretty narrow
