Opt for a much quiet escape, well, Suhe ancient town is a great choice. 7 KM north of Lijiang city, local tip : take bus 11 from main entrance of Lijiang ancient town, 1 Yuan and get off from Suhe junction, it is a good 15 minutes walk to this I would say a much under-developed but gorgeous little ancient site. I like this place though she has her own character, yet quite unlike Malacca in Malaysia, and quite sure, she is different from Rothenburg in Germany! Would I spend few years here?
