So, I'm not lost over here! I've just been surprisingly busy! Since leaving Moncton on June 27, I've been to London, England, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and to Chengdu and Xi'an in China. Of course, I've been to Urumqi, since that's where I'm living, and I've also managed to travel to Lake Kanas/Hemu Village and Shi hezi, Lu Jiaowan, and Sha Wan in Xinjiang province.

I realize I'm a little late in starting this blog, so I'll try to soon post pictures and updates on what I've done so far before I have too many other adventures to keep track of!

Even in these six short weeks, though, I've already discovered that there's no place like home. This should be a wonderful year as I get to teach English, live with Chinese girls, and experience tons of new things. But traveling around the world has made me long for my own beautiful country. My sentiments are probably best expressed in Canada's loveliest (in my opinion, anyways!) folk tune, Un Canadien Errant.
