So tonight we went for a meal at the New Age Veggie restaurant in the Super Brand Mall. Despite the names of the restaurant and shopping centre it was in, the food was amazing. The Chinese really take imitating meat dishes to whole new levels, even elaborately carving vegetable to represent "bones".

After our excellent dinner we went for a few drinks at the Cloud 9 Bar on the 88th floor of the Jin Mao tower, the top 40 floors of which are the Grand Hyatt hotel. It's the tallest building in China and the fourth tallest building in the world. That makes it taller the the Empire State. Needless to say the views of the whole of Shanghai from the bar are stunning, well worth the Y100 minimum cover charge (which is only a few drinks anyway).

The bar itself was impressive too, though I dare say the hordes of ELAs taking photos spoiled the atmosphere somewhat for the diners. Nevermind eh?
