Our second day at the World Expo in Shanghai was just as exciting. Two metro rides to the Expo and we're off. This time around, we found the shorter route to the gate and decided to indulge the kids with a KFC lunch. (After the Cantonese lunch yesterday, and the Bi Feng Tang take- out duck dinner last night, they must be hankering for good old-fashioned chicken drumsticks and fries! ) Kids' ... Read Full Entry

An energy ball that sways right, left and around as you scream at the top of your lungs. Took a shot as I was comfortably sitting on the floor @3rd level.

What a fascinating journey!
Hey Lili. Great articles on the Expo. I can't believe you're actually there!! I am so jealous. I wrote an article in my Examiner column when the Expo opened but would have loved to include some of your insights and helpful tips....and the comments about food of course. Too bad about the Euro pavilions. At least you have plenty of time to go back with reservations in hand. Take care my friend. Looking forward to your next article. Jeff

VIP Tickets
Hello, You mentioned having VIP tickets, or a pass? I was wondering if that's something available for the general public to buy? If so, where did you get them? I'd really like to avoid waiting in the sun for several hours to get into a pavilion! :) Thanks, Tom

Answers to Queries
Received quite a number of queries on how to get a VIP pass. So, I thought I'd post this here rather than send a PM. We were lucky to have been issued those VIP passes by our consulate in Shanghai. They worked in Asia, but not in Europe and the Americas area where they required at least a day's notice or reservation.

VIP passes
Hello, Sounds like there are a lot of interesting way to view the Expo. You have mentioned several times about the VIP passes. May I ask you how we Public can get access to them? We will be visiting the Expo site in August, and don't mind paying extra for the VIP passes. Do you have a link that you can send me to look into? Much thnx. Margaret.

VIP PASSES
You have to go to your respective consulates to get your VIP passes. I arranged mine through our consulate in Shanghai. They are not for sale. We were simply fortunate that our group was favored with these passes.
