Last week was the “Dragon Boat Festival” in China. I won’t be showing you any photos of dragon boat races here because I --along with thousands if not millions of Chinese people, as well as foreign tourists and residents-- left Shanghai for a long weekend. You leave your bus or taxi as the entrance to the regional park and walk up on stairs for about half an hour.

My new Indian friends, met at the Riverside Retreat Hotel in Yangshuo. This was taken at an exhibit we attended last Friday night in the French Concession. Elke, my photographer friend, was doing a show on photos of Mao.

Very much enjoyed yet another one of your blog entries....Those mountains and the river areincredible...They look like many Chinese brush paintings I've seen. Yes, I agree with your other friend's comments...Thanks for your photos and travelog. . .For those of us living our everyday life it's nice to have a window on the world through your eyes.
