Shanghai's Jinmao Tower

I visited the Jinmao Tower on my first day in Shanghai. I was quite impressed with the architecture of the building. It was quite cool. It is covered with glass and stainless steel and the top is very spikey. The building is comprised mostly of offices and has the highest hotel in the world inside. When they say highest, they mean the highest from the ground floor. The hotel is the Shanghai Hyatt. Its lobby is really impressive! Visitors to the Jinmao Tower can look down into the hotel's lobby from the observation deck. The observation deck is very large and can hold a great number of people. It is surrounded by very large and tall glass windows making the views of Shanghai very nice. The elevator that leads up to the observation deck is very very fast. it has a picture of the tower engraved into it and you can watch each floor light up as you pass it. The views from the tower are incredible. The tower is across the river from the Bund, so you get a great view of it and of the city of Shanghai, and you also get a great view of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower.

The Jinmao Tower is located in the Lujiazui area of Shanghai's Pudong District.
