Shanghai Buildings
Out with the old and in with the new.Today will be the first day of our 10 day vacation from the chilly city of Qingdao. First stop, Shanghai! For what? Roger Waters / Pink Floyd Concert. Yes thats right. A british progressive rock band not only famous for their amazing music ability and lyric writing but for their album art and lavish stage shows combining visual experiences with their music to create a show in which the performers themselves are almost secondary. Pink Floyd being one of the most successful rock bands selling close to 175 million records decided to play Shanghai as their first show in China.
The band played many hits from albums such as The Wall , Wish you were here, and Animals. But in addition to that the band played the entire Dark Side of the Moon Album.
We had middle row seats up in the top balconey manly becuase thats the only seats we could afford. Becuase we were pretty high up all the heat in the building came up to where we were sitting making it so hot that we were sweating uncontrolably. At intermition we decided that we needed better seats. So once the concert started we just looked for any empty
Pink Floyd
Pre concert seats down on the floor and of course we found them. Due to no security and a concert that should be sold out but wastn't we had no problem at all.
I won't waste too much time on the concert so I'll just sum it up by saying it was absolutaly amazing. I have never seen a better concert visually and musically.
Tomorrow we will leave for Haikou, Hainan, China!
