The Chinese New Year began on February 14, 2010. We learned that the Chinese LOVE fireworks! And obviously can easily buy them! We were amazed at the sheer volume of fireworks going off constantly. My family currently lives in a small rural town in North Carolina, USA. In May 09, our 9yo daughter and I first traveled to China with my husband for his work . We returned home and traveled to Alaska for 3 weeks to visit my sister and her husband. In Sept 09, we returned to China for our second trip, and will be returning again.
