Many different types of domesticated animal figures were found in the tomb - horses, cattle, goats, sheep, even ducks!

The figurines originally had moveable wooden arms and were dressed in colorful silk robes. While much smaller than the Terracotta Warriors, the figurines found in this tomb reveal more about daily life than martial preoccupations - a refreshing change!

The Great Mosque of Xi’an is the oldest and one of the most renowned mosques in the country, founded in 742. Particularly interesting to see as it follows traditional Chinese architecture as opposed to most other Chinese mosques.

The Bell Tower of Xi'an, built in 1384, is one of the grandest of its kind in China. The Bell Tower also contains several large bronze-cast bells from the Tang Dynasty.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda built in 652, rebuilt in 704 and renovated several times since.
