After 4 years in China, I've finally made it to Xi'an!

The Drum and Bell Towers are two of the city's landmarks and highlights. My friend Candy and I made them our first stop. The signs for buying tickets are in two languages, but don't be fooled: they don't say the same thing. While the English version will have you buy two tickets (one at each place, thus making you pay twice and stand in two lines), the Chinese sign tells you that you can buy a dual pass and see both of them for a reduced price of 50 RMB. And this means we skipped waiting in a second, very long, line.

The views from the towers were great. It's amazing how much of the city one can see from the tops of them. I think I was most impressed by their long history and the number of artifacts in each building. Visiting during the day and coming back for the night photo shots are both worthwhile uses of time.
