We can't get away from this guy!We can't get away from this guy!We can't get away from this guy!

At the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum
The blog about the Terra Cotta Warriors is:

Random thoughts while listening to the noises of the street drifting through or open window:

At least two reasons why China would be an ideal place for Sarah to live:

1) She could find unlimited amounts of clothes that fit her.

2) Belching is completely acceptable behavior.

In China, lane markers aren't rules, they are more like suggestions.

Basketball can be played in complete darkness. All you need to do is make more noise. (Based on what's going on outside right now.)

I suppose that an economy that allows the existence of a store that sells nothing but combs on the busiest street in Xi'an is one that is in transition. If the comb store continues to draw absolutely no customers it will cease to exist eventually, but it may take time. Similarily, if there are more than three stores each of Adidas, Puma, Nike, and mimics of all three as well, a steady state has not been reached. The streams of people dressed like Mods and Rockers (from Quadrephenia) and Carnaby Street "birds" will vote
with their yuan for the ideal balance of goods and services.
What I want to know is, how the hell did they get from the Cultural Revolution to this?
