After staggering off the train all hungover we arrived in Xi'an where we had a free day to explore this great city. Decided on doing a bike ride around the city walls which was alot of fun except the sights were shrouded in a dense smog. That afternoon we visited the Muslim quarter and went the great Mosque which was a mixture of Islamic and Chinese cultures mingled to produce a stunning place. This night we had a meal in the same area at a Halal restaurant with meats on stick and some great bread. Even tried a local delicacy- Goat...
Spent the last hour sitting in the square watching locals play with their telescopes set on Venus and Jupiter.
