Here I am having dinner with some Chinese and Swiss friends. We are having hotpot which means that many kinds of food is mixed in a boiling pot in the middle of the table. The dark red stuff to the lower right side is duck blood by the way.

This is the Wu Gorge. The clouds can make the gorges even more dramatic. Rain doesn't though and it was most of the day today.

The Three Gorges Dam. It is more than two kilometers wide and 115 meters high.

From upstream the dam looks like this today. In a few years it will get filled up all the way to the top. Then the waterlevel will be 110 meters higher here than it originally was.
