Team Free consists of Marcus (Dad), Melissa (Mum), Jackson (13), Harrison (11) and Hunter (7). Team Free flew from Australia to Europe and then spent 4 months 'Overlanding' back to Kuala Lumpur via the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, Mongolia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia before flying home to Queensland, Australia. We departed on Sunday 17th June 2012 and returned to Australia on Wednesday October 10th 2012 What an amazing adventure. We loved every moment and are now planning our next adventure. OK someone has to state the obvious...Melissa is the Super Star of the Free Family!!!! Mothering 3 boys (& the bigger one lol) has got to win this title hands down :-) Not a feminist viewpoint...just stating the obvious :-)) I can also hear you laughing Marcus....waiting for 'bites' from 'the girls' hahahaha "There's one!!" "There's another...." lol :-) It's great to read your entries for my future travels. The 'heads up' re the pro's/ con's, up's & down's of the various locations has been very interesting. Hi Guys! Great to read about all your adventures! We're curious to hear what Jackson, Harrison and Hunter bought with their bargaining skills in Beijing :)! We just got to Xi'an, after 4 days in Shanghai and will head to Yichang on the 31st.

Mongolia to China, Wow!!!!
Well, this is still such a wonderful adventure for you all. Did Hunter have anything to eat at the Food Markets in Beijing on those sticks? What was yours Marcus & what about you Melissa, did you have anything???? Jackson & Harrison were careful with fruit eh? I remember I was brave when I was there. Great reading once again.
