Like the title says above, we have arrived in Chongquin! sounds more exciting than it actually is lol. well we woke up rather early in chendu to catch a train to Chongquin. wasnt to bad, only a 4 hour jouney which was a bit of larf really. as this was our 1st train journey within China we didnt really no what to expected! once we arrived at the station, it was the usual overcrowed hustle and bustle of the china folk. But being the white boys that we are, the security guards let us skip abit of the Q and we found our selves on the platform as quick as a click of finger!
The trains were all lenghthy double deckers and took quite a while to find our carrage. eventualy we stumble across platform 9&3/4 (carrage A2). we settled down strate away and wfell asleep pretty snappy really. However Jonny and I stayed awake taking in the sights from the window, and i noticed a balled pretty stocked guy doing matial art moves on the otherside of the train; thought it was pretty cool! But later on he started looking at me up and down and stairing at
my arms from across the carrage. After a while he came over and stood in front of me, felt uneased by him so i said hello and introduced myself and Jonny. He didnt speak any English so used body language and actions and could tell what he wanted to do. So he grabbed my arm and propped it into an arm wrestle position (obviously to prove he was stronger than a musclely westener lol) this cought the attention of most of the china men and women in the carrage. Nick Caz and Rick were asleep mind, and i was shouting for them to awaken so they could film it but there was no luck there!! so the wrestle began. I managed to just about beat him after a tough 4-5 min wrestle but he stoped as he claimed i cheated lol and walked of embarressd as he was beaten by a white boi!! what a weener!
He then later on challanged me to another game to prove him self again. we had to handshake and twist each others wrists the opposite dirrection to see who could last longer. The match started of sitting down over a table, i was
winning slightly so i twisted his wrist round to the point that we both had to stand up. The whole carrage were watching now with excitment. eventually we both stoped coz it was NAKERING!We later on found out he was some sort of a Shoulin Fighter.....!
We arrived in Chongquing around 12.30 and were met by a driver who picked us up in a huge bus and took us to an office where we were due to arrange our next few days travel to Wanzhou and our river jouney up the Yangtzi River. This was when we met 'Jimmy White' (or so he called himself). He was good at English but as the day wore on we began to dislike him quite abit! He then showed us to a Hot Pot Restaurant which we were looking forward to alot. however he decied to join us un-invited. Later on whern the food arrived we found out he was not a very nice dinner guest ATALL! He ate pretty much all the food leaving us scraps, and splashed me and jonny with scolding oil and didnt even say sorry! Any food he didnt like he spat on the floor. Every time
this occoured looks were past between Me and Huntz and just burst in to Uncontrolable girly giggles! He was to busy eating to have noticed!!!!! Then came the bill!!!!! We were caculating it to be slit between 6 people and he says in a shocked voice... "Oh...do i pay aswell??". From then on we Named him * Jimmy Jabba The Hut White* out of Star Wars as he resemebled a giant SLUG! Proceding on from the Hot Pot Restaurant we decided to ditch *Jabba* and spend some time in an Internet cafe.
After faceBooking it up strolled round the grimey city that is Chongquin. Chongquing is definitely not a place you would stay if it wasn't necessary! The city is the largest in China with 32 million people living in the area. We have seen 5 rats (Geneticaly Modified Giant Rat) already outside our hotel and are just about adjusting to the smell of sewers and festering china poo...! The air is a constant cloud of smoke whith people unleashing what they consumed ealyer that day on the pavements! And Jimmy *Jabba The Hut* White asked us why people in the West hadnt heard of Chonquin....! Think what i just wrote just about explains it! The thought of writing about Chongquin gives me the willies so i'l quit while im ahead on this one.
So untill next time bois and gals.......!
