This past weekend I went to Huang Shan (the yellow mountain) and Huizhou in the southern part of Anhui with Peter. Every Chinese person I’ve ever met has advised me to go to this mountain. There were a lot of painters at the Huizhou villages. I had not seen a Chinese artist painting until we arrived in Hongcun.

This is what we road around in from one village to the next. The bus in the background was a tour group that had just pulled up. Peter and I laughed at their inferior mode of transportation. I mean seriously, who goes from one place to the next in a bus?!
