We love the rain. The breeze picks up, the sun hides, and the temperature drops about 15 degrees (or at least it feels that way...it might only be 5...).

We say this after just moving away from Seattle where we hated the weather. But, it's different here: It doesn't rain all day. Sometimes when it rains, the sun is still shining; and if it's cloudy, it's never cloudy for long. Plus, the storms here are fantastic. Lots of lightening and thunder - stuff we missed in the Pac NW.

Of course, the rain also brings less desirable things: more crickets and - it seems like - more mosquitoes. But, on the whole, it's a positive. Rain at night cools it down so you can sleep better. Rain during the day allows for a citywide pause in traffic and work.

So, here's hopin' for more rain this evening! (And, we promise - next blog posting will be on something besides the weather!)
