happy pizza
Enjoying beer and happy pizza on the waterfrontAfter a couple more days in Siem Reap we have moved on to Phnom Penh, the Capital of Cambodia.. great city, very small but very busy.
Landmine Museam
On our last day in Siem Reap we visited the landmine museam outside of town. Cambodia is one of the most heavily mined countries in the world and a lot of people still are killed or maimed by them. This museam was started by this guy who had been fighting with the Khmear Rouge since he was 10. Grew up in the Jungle, spent his youth killing and setting booby traps and land mines.,Never saw a city until he was 25. when the fighting stopped he started to de-mine Cambodia, by hand with no metal dectors or anything. Started a school for child landmine vicitms as well...verry cool
Bus to PP
Getting the bus to Pnom Phenn cause a little stress. Wanted an aircondidtioned bus for the 5 hr journey and was worried that when we would by the cheap ticket (5$) that they would say A/C but it wouldnt be...next morning got up, went to the "bus station", crammed 25 people into a little mini-bus and took

Here is the littlest begger drinking the remains of Leigh's cocktail.. off...no A/C, no windows open...peopel sitting in the aisles...was about to freak out when the bus dropped us off at the larger bus staion where we got on to a fullsize a/c coach...was a good ride, got to watch a Jackie Chan Movie...
Phnom Penn
So far seems like a cool city...verry small (you could walk one end to the other in 1hr) but its verry busy..asked a tuk tuk driver to take us to some cheap accomidation by the riverfront. Got to the Her Royal Highness Hotel and got an AC room with hot water, mini bar and TV for 10$..its pretty sweet...I noticed that there were a lot of Old White dudes with young Asian chicks hanging around*(SEE FOOTNOTE). Later on I did a search on google for the hotel and a bunch of "Asia Sex tour" sites came up and I got the feeling that its really popular with the buisnessss trip/Asian brothel tour crowd. We are on the thrid floor with a nice view...the place even has room service...luxuary
Happy Pizza
We decided to go for a Happy pizza** and some beers on the watefront. We had several to choose from but decided
kids
Cambodian kids love WWF...we walked past this school and they all went crazy and started wrestling..that one kid has a Championship Belt upon the Phnom Penn Happy Herbs Pizza because they also had 50cent drafts. Pizza was supprisingly really good, actually excelent and also made us feel happy. And after the pizza and the beers we thought it would be a good idea to walk along the river...but we wernt able to cross the road to get there... too many bikes and motos and tuk tuk's zipping across...and I know that when you cross busy roads in Asia you kinda just walk out into traffic with your eyes closed and everyone just gets out of your way, and I have done this many times..but at night..in the state that we were in....we decided to just walk home sit in A/C and watch bad movies.
So yeah PP is cool right now...tomorow going to the Killing Fields and Genocide museam, sounds like a Perfect Valentines Day...nothing turns the ladies on more than the thought of the mass murder of milions of people...Just call me Cassanova........ anway later today, were going bowling... Take it easy

Pigs heads, unrefrigiated raw meat, dry fish, you can get everything gross and stinky at the market...dont ask whats in the Jars behind me... Asian woman. They usually have that creepy petaphile look to them and sometimes Women (especially bar owners) will yell at them and make them feel bad and leave.
** - Happy pizza means they mix in special Cambodian Herbs to make you feel happy.
