countdown....

it is now thursday 4th February, and the countdown begins in earnest! The packing isn't done, the house isn't rented, the boys are about to be homeless....but hey, the flights are booked and I can ask you how you are in Khmer ( Ta neak sak saboi?)!!

We are at that stage where it doesn't feel real, yet there is an inevitability about it! So hard to imagine what it will really like...and so hard to imagine not being here! I have been based at Wester Moffat Hospital in Airdrie since November 2001....so just over 8 years....so to not come here in itself will be strange!! We don't know yet what our accomodation will be like in Samrong, which is a rural town. I cannot begin to imagine what it will be like working for the Oddor Meanchey Provincial Health Department......but I am guessing it will be a tad different to NHS Lanarkshire!!!

So, for now welcome to our new blog, and I hope we can keep in touch with lots of you this way! I am sure that we will love to hear from as many people as possible from "back home" once we are out there!!

Meantime, hope to see lots of you at the ceilidh!! And don't worry, if you haven't got a ticket yet, there are still some left, so just come along on the night!!!
