Royal Palace - Inside Angkor Thom. Major construction was undertaken at Angkor Thom's Royal Palace under the reigns of Jayavarman VII and his immediate successors. Bas-reliefs depicting aquatic scenes were added, for example, to the lower steps of Srah Srei.

These are the two monks that you could see walking at the bottom of the staircase. The joined me at the top of the temple and we sat and talked for a while as we all caught our breath.
