March 26th Linda and Pon arrived in Bangkok at 11:30PM, found Maurice about an hour later and finally located Joanne. We had a nice big pool, good thing, we were in it whenever we returned from our daily excursions, usually between 5 and 6PM.

We'd enjoy omelets and a full buffet every morning before heading out to tour.

We got to know each other quite well over the course of 5 days.

The government just does not have the money necessary to rebuild or reconstruct these magnificent old ruins.

It was quite rare to see any kind of work being done to try and save or repair any of the ruins.

Even the tuk-tuk drivers found it hot, and it was quite common to see them sleeping in hammocks while waiting for business.

Everywhere we went, there were plenty of tuk-tuks around, both at the ruins and in town.

Our guide Phallin was very knowledgeable and gave us frequent history lessons, and he would check to make sure we could answer his questions.

We had a lot of fun over the 3 days of visiting ruins in Siem Reap.

The power of the roots is phenomenal, and it is interesting how the roots take hold and thrive.

Every time we returned to the van, the driver would be waitting with the AC running, and he would greet us with wipes and a fresh bottle of cold water.

They have a crafts school for the deaf and/or mute so they can learn a craft and make a living. This is the school in SR, the teachers also travel out to the communities to teach.

The largest freshwater lake in South East Asia, it goes from a low of 1 meter in depth at the end of the dry season to 9 meters deep at the end of the rainy season. It grows from 2700 to 16,000 sq km annually.

There are 170 floating villages with over 80,000 inhabitants on Tonle Sap Lake. The commune we visited had 7 villages, 5800 residents, 5 schools, 3 gas stations and 4 karaoke bars.

Hot!
Definitely was the hottest weather we have ever experienced, slightly warmer even than Barancoa, Cuba
