Day 12-Sunday-January 24- Today Annette & Doug decided to do different excursions, Annette taking the Bagan city tour and Doug taking the Mount Popa tour. We both departed the boat at 9:00am. On our way back to the boat we stopped at this workshop and were shown the incredible process of making a quality piece of lacquerware. It is very time consuming because of the drying process between layers.

This space is a below grade basement-like area that contains many pieces of lacquerware drying between the multiple steps and layers. We were unable to enter but could take a photo from here.

This is the showroom with the lacquerware for sale. Annette's bus met Doug's bus here for our last stop of the day. We purchased several pieces to bring home.
