BHUTAN SIKKIM TOUR STARTS

Our tour of 15 days for Bhutan and Sikkim started on 17th April 2017.


Indigo plane Mumbai -Delhi 8.30am - and
Delhi- Bagdogra 2.20 was booked.

We started at 6 in the morning for Domestic Airport and reached around 6.30 am.

The Indigo planes are always on time and they specifically mentioned it on both the flights.

We came to Bagdogra where Shri Salunke alongwith Bhoricha and Bandekar family and his sister Rekha and sister in law Surekha was waiting. Sridevi couple was on our flight only.

We all started for Jaigaon a village near Bhutan Border, in 2 vehicles. In between we took lunch in City Dhaba. We travelled through Siligudi and other cities. It reminded us our trip to Darjeeling from Kolkata in 1912. We had visited Mirik on the way. That Mistik journey with changing atmosphere is unforgettable. In seconds it was fog n in other it was sun. Today's travel was also through greenery and through jungle.

We reached Jaigaon in the night. We stayed in Sheetal Hotel. Before that, we went to a hotel in Bhutan for Dinner. In Bhutan , when vehicle enters, it is monitored by cameras. If a vehicle goes in, it should come out within half an hour if no entry permit is taken. Also all non permit vehicles should be out by 10 in the night. we took a quick dinner and came to our hotel at Jaigaon. Border of Bhutan is on walk able distance from hotel. We came to hotel. Salunke prepared for Visa documents. Here, no passport is required for Indian nationals. One should have Election Card.
