Wednesday May 30 We arrived at the border with Togo nearing dusk and once we cleared Ghana, filled in paperwork and presented ourselves to Togolese officials. Visas are issued on the spot and after changing money we were on our way, heading towards Lomé with the coast on our right-hand side. Having grown up in Australia, I had no idea that when I left in December, 1998, I wouldn't go back. After working and travelling in the northern hemisphere for over 13 years, I then quit everything to travel through Africa in 2012. Since then I have also travelled the Silk Route and in 2015 moved to Bangkok, Thailand. The more I travel, the longer the lists of places to go grows, not shrinks. It's amazing how you just go with the flow and don't let anything ruffle you...
Great stories and pictures. And it helps that you have gone to dates rather than days into the trip...and that your entry dates reflect the starting date for that episode rather than when you wrote the blog. It appears the borders are getting easier to cross, too.

Bob, I was losing track of days so using dates helps me also. Borders haven't been too bad but we'll see shortly as we head towards Cabinda, DRC and Angola!
