AFRICA!!!

Nice flight over the pond to London. Got to spend most of the day in london which was great. just kinda walked around a bit, saw the highlights (picadilly circus, trafalgar square, the thames, big ben, the eye, etc) then back on the flight to nairobi overnight.

got to nairobi, managed to get our bags transferred to precision air for our flight to mwanza. erin and addys bags, however, didn't make the final cut. as of right now addy has her bag but erin still has nothing. so we are staying another night in mwanza to see if they show up tomorrow. fingers crossed! we flew from nairobi to killimanjaro (i don't know how to spell that haha) and we saw hte mountain behind some clouds. itw as crazy!

not much to do here in mwanza, but it screams africa. its just like we all imagined from whta we saw on tv. women carrying stuff on their heads, animals everywhere, people everywhere, poor people everywhere.... but its so amazing, i cant' believe we're actually here! and we're staying at the Ramada hotel. haha nothing like the Ramada at home let me tell you.

there are a few internet cafes here in mwanza but not in nyamuswa so the updates wil be few and far between. however, i cant' even open my email here right now so i am rotted! phones are equally frustrating, b/c even when you find one they usually do'nt work. i think we're going ot buy a cellphone between us all for calling home and other places to do stuff for our project. hopefully we'll make it to nyamuswa tomorrow.

anyhow better be going, miss you all, and hopefully all your summers are going great!
