first two days in arusha

so its been two days that i been here for ........... let me say haha these people only eat carbs , peanuts, bananas, and rice, and bread sooo am gona get sooo fat haha , and am gona come back with a black bootay like i predicted. for breakfast its white bread with peanut butter , usually for lunch its a sandwich or really deep fried rice haha , then dinner is some form of beans and bread or something extremly deep fried, n all their snacks are actually like peanuts or bananas , um their oranges r yellow instead of orange haha ...... everything is deep fried like u can hear the sound of the oil when ur in ur room while they r in the kitchen .... so i finally went down n bought something yesterday and oh my haha those people bargain like crazy but anyways i got 15 bananas from the good kind for 20 cents haha cheap here really cheap stuff ...... anyways to get anywhere u cud walk but there r mini busses that are called the dala dala which cost like 10 cents to get on , its pretty amazing and u can fit like 40 people but ofcourse illegally haha , so i took one and ofcourse they called me the white girl , which is known by the word muzuku haha they kept yelling that at me and some other words , am really frustrated that i cant understand its a little annoying , and i said noo i was african and haha he kept touching my skin and saying no ur muzuku aka white haha .... am like aha apprntly they want my skin lol , so downtown area is pretty amazing and ofcourse we have already established am an alien so i stick out more then the white girls somehow dam it lol but oh well ...... so i learnt these words while i was in the shopping market :

so a bit fair amount to get me thru especailly NO haha u have to use it down here or they will molest u like no tomorow , and apprntly the men here are confident when it comes to foreign women but their own women they r terrified haha which is hilrious , the people here are always dressed the women walk around with heels and dressy clothes and bling bling like crazy yet they r starving on the other side , and the men are always in dress pants n shirts even construction workers wear it so its like no one wears runners for the girls or flipflops the day i wore them everyone eyed me down am like uhhh opps , also the busses the more stickers they have on them that means the cooler and more hip they r haha .

they listen to english music so like the beat stuff , i got into a taxi and justin beiber was playing haha which i found very amusing , um oh ya they fry and cook banana with everything since its very much grown everywhere here , and they even have red bananas and banana stew so pretty awsome . I am still waiting for my group to get here so i can actually start but for now am stuck here with the group that is leavin soon and i must say it sucks to hear about all the cool stuff they did while i have to sit and wait for my group to come and finally we can go on with all the stuff ........ n today am supposte to go down to the jewelry market with one of the coordinators haha ...... yesterday i went with the other coordinator to shop for printers ofcourse not for me but for the house , and haha i got to ride a motorcycle , i gota say it was amazing n i definatly wana put some money aside to get my own when i get back haha .......... so the stuff i might get a chance to try is bungee jumping , scuba diving, safaris , hiking known mountains n water falls , attening a cultural wedding , spending a couple of days in certain villages n living their lives , going to islands around here , and ofcourse for sure attending a tribal dance .... there will be more but for now am not sure haha , am trying to not get too excited bout stuff and focus on y i am here haha which is ofcourse to help :D .............. c ya next time , Lots of love from arusha
