Some few days back I received a call from our brother Peter. He had just finished a short course in Arusha and was ready to return to his native country of Uganda. Many of you will recall hearing about the time he and I spent together, painstakingly laboring, word by word, working on a translation of the evangelism booklet. The booklet is already available in English and Swahili - thousands now of each have gone to print and into the field. The more time I spend on the mission field, the more I realize my missionary mentors and teachers were right in placing emphasis upon making simple, accurate, sound literature available to the natives in their own language.

Thanks to the generosity of the stateside congregation in Tiftonia, we were able to fund the printing of some English and Swahili booklets, and we set aside some funds dedicated to the pending work for Uganda. One thousand of these new booklets were printed. Peter's recent call was to thank us for making the booklets available, and he was about to begin his journey home; bringing with him the 1,000 booklets in the Lugandan language. It is our prayer that these will prove to be a useful tool in helping many learn the truth of simple New Testament Christianity. The Lord only knows what good will be done.

This booklet is comprised of only four sheets of paper, covered front and back, containing 5 lessons.
(1) The Bible Is From God, (2) Jesus is Divine & New Testament is God's Law For Today, (3) Salvation Is Only In Christ's One Body, (4) The Way Into The Church, (5) Counting The Cost. Anyone is free to go to our website and download the booklet for their own use - www.jensenmissions.com - and click the Evangelism Booklet link. This can make a good study for your Bible class to encourage one another to teach your friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. One elder in the states has used the material himself and has taught a Wednesday evening class for those interested in learning to do personal evangelism.

Read Revelation 12:11. Three things are mentioned about the "overcomers." Are these three true of you and me?

Well that was good advice about printed material and being simply put for understandings sake. What I have learned from the Jensen's is that missionaries are some of the most inventive and enthusastic people on the face of this earth and I am most honored to have some of them as dear friends. That booklet is part of our KW 20/20 Vision plan for South Ms and is being used by members of KW as a tool for personal evangelism. Thank you George for making that possible. You Jensen's are a certain blessing in my life and the lives of many others. Take care of your good selves on the roads and othewise. God speed and God Bless. just ken

Gospel Literature
Glad to hear about your work in getting good literature into the language of the people. I do not know of a more effective way to evangelize and build up the saved in Africa than by the means of literature. The African people in the eight African nations I have worked in have all impressed me with their desire for printed materials. I hope you will be able to do much more in the future. You and your fine family are in our prayers. Rod

Tiftonia congregation
George and Joy, it gladdens our heart to know that Tiftonia was able to help in some small way to help get the booklets printed. It is our prayer that many will receive and respond to the Gospel of Christ through your efforts. We just wanted to let you know we have a new preacher here at Tiftonia, his name is Gary McDade. Gary was the Executive Director of GBN (The Gospel Broadcasting Network) and a friend of Joy's dad. We thank you for all the hard work and sacrifices you and your family have made and are still making in the name of our Lord. Your brother and sister in Christ, Jim and Judy Marshall
