Woke up a little early and were able to get ourselves packed up and ready by 5:45. Thanks to our
neighbor that had a outside light that really helped us. Were in the same place in the gate line as
we had been. During the night we heard the lions and also heard the baboons alerting before we
joined the line.
Head down the road going toward the Orpen Dam which we have not visited this trip. On the road we saw three rhino, then one rhino then three ground hornbill with young, elephant and buffalo. The dam did not have as much water as we have seen in the past but we were glad to see there was water there!
Fixed a easy breakfast of cereal as we listened to the sounds of the birds coming to life around the dam. We did see some big crocodiles and hippo and then we were back on the road. Headed up toward
Tsokwane Rest area after enjoying the scene.
