The scenic view from outside our lodge. Geo: -28.4803, 29.9207
This morning we woke up to a very bright, blue sky and the view was even more magnificent than yesterday. It was a shame that we had to leave as I wouldn't have minded doing a small hike in this nice weather. We took a few photos, had breakfast, packed the car and then hit the road at about 10am.
A little after midday we stopped for lunch at a BnB called Blue Haze. This place had a great view and was a good spot for us to stretch our legs. After lunch we were back on the road for about two hours and then we arrived at Nambiti Game Reserve. Paul chose to visit this lodge and reserve again, as we had been a few years ago and enjoyed our stay.
All visitors to this game reserve have to leave their cars in the car park at the entrance, from here our guide picked us up and drove us to the lodge. Our guide was a young guy called Kingsley. We were running late for afternoon tea and the afternoon game drive, but I was glad that our guide did stop at animal sightings on the way to

After a quick check-in, we went to our rooms and prepared ourselves for the afternoon game drive. We met back at the main lodge on the deck for afternoon tea. I was already beginning to enjoy our stay here as I didn't have to prepare the meals! As we ate afternoon tea, I took a few photos of the various bird species that we hopping about on the deck.
It was then time to go for our afternoon game drive and luckily for us we had a vehicle to ourselves. It was a nice change to be in an open vehicle instead of our car, such better viewing. The start of the drive was quiet in regards to animal sightings, but still very enjoyable and gave us a chance to appreciate the view.
We then saw some white rhinos, kudus and giraffes that were all near a small dam. The giraffes were busy eating leaves from a bush and were not bothered by us. The couple of kudus just stood around watching us watch them. At first we

We then noticed two more white rhinos (also dehorned) which the first one was walking towards. We sat here for about fifteen minutes watching these different animals. It was then time to move on. Our next sighting was a small herd of impalas. Then it was time for our sundowner stop. Sundowner stops consist of a drink and snacks as guests watch the sun set. We got off the vehicle, stretched our legs and I enjoyed the views while drinking my G&T and nibbling on snacks.
The drive back to lodge was not as exciting, as it was dark and getting cold. Luckily for us, Kingsley was prepared and had very warm blankets for us. These blankets made a huge difference in our comfort level.
We saw a female nyala, hippos and a Black Backed Jackal. Back at the lodge we had a little bit of time to freshen up and get ready for dinner. Dinner was a three course meal and the food was delicious! I have eaten way too much food on this trip. Once
