This afternoon I went for a drive with Paul to the furthest gate to pick up staff who were returning from their leave. On the way there we spotted a pair of white rhinos who were hiding behind a bush. After we picked up the staff, we drove along the same road to return to the lodge. On the radio we heard that there was a sighting of the Black Backed Jackal pups. We were driving past the den sight, so we pulled in to have a quick look. There were two pups who were busy playing with each other- fun to watch. We couldn't stay for long as we didn't have guests on the vehicle. A few kilometres along the road we stopped to see a pair of sleeping lions. It was starting to get dark and cold, so we drove all the way back to the lodge without stopping.
