This morning after we woke up, we packed the car and set off on our leave to Johannesburg. A few minutes after leaving, we came across a large male elephant. He was walking along the road towards us and would not move off the road, so we had to reverse until he decided to walk off into the bush.

At this stage the bush was very dry and mostly burnt, due to bush fires and fire breaks. Not too long now until it should rain again.
