Alright. Im alive and well and off to Kruger National Park for a 4 day tour. The first day was a blast visiting the Blyde River Canyon, the Three Rondovals, and Moholoholo rehabilitation center. The Blyde river canyon is the third largest crack on the planet and largest green canyon, meaning it is teeming with life supporting everything A rondoval is a round house with a thatched roof. The local Xhosa people build these huts with bricks made of mud, clay, straw, cow dung, etc. You see them everywhere. Reminiscent of Ireland actually…but the mountain structures you see in the pics look like the thatched roofs of rondovals seen all around hence the namesake. There is a dam that supplies water for the area and it’s a really cool looking place! The Moholoholo center was a project started with a famous honey badger that kept escaping from every type of structure he was put in! Funny lil guy. And there were a lot of cats and definitely a lot of birds. Great stop as this was the first animals in Africa I got to see! The last stop was to our lodge. I signed up for camping and somehow got put on a trip with a british couple heading to Botswana. Strange, but so far so good! We had a nice meal at the lodge over some good tunes. Rodriguez is the man Im talking about and Sugarman is the song! Look it up. Classic rock so im totally down, but funny thing about this guy and South Africa. Look it up! Theres also a documentary call finding sugarman J
